Featuring and Advertising
1. Why can't I order "Home Featured"?
The number of Home Featured spots is limited to ensure maximum visibility for selected ads. If all spots are currently taken, it is not possible to order this service immediately. In this case, we recommend joining the waiting list by clicking the "Notify me when a spot becomes available" button.
2. How does the Home Featured waiting list work?
When home page spots are full, you can add yourself to the waiting list. As soon as a horse's featuring period ends and a spot opens up, the system sends an automatic email to everyone on the waiting list. The vacated spot goes to the person who reacts and completes the order first.
3. What is the difference between "Home Featured" and "Search Featured"?
- Home Featured: Your ad is displayed on the portal's home page in a special section. This offers the most exclusive visibility.
- Search Featured: Your ad is displayed higher in search results with a distinctive design. This service can always be ordered; there are no limits on the number of spots.
4. How long does featuring last?
The duration depends on the selected package (e.g., 7, 14, or 30 days). The exact expiration date is displayed when you place the order and later in your ad management. After the period ends, the ad becomes a standard ad, but you can extend the featuring if you wish.
5. How do I pay for services?
After selecting a package, you will be directed to payment instructions or a payment page. You may need to enter an Order Reference Number to confirm the order. Please note: An administrator manually reviews the payment. If everything is correct, the administrator activates the service. This process typically takes 1 to 24 hours.
Adding and Editing Ads
6. How many photos can I add to one ad?
The system has a maximum allowed number of photos (usually 5-10 per ad). We recommend choosing the best quality images and ensuring file sizes are not too large to guarantee page speed.
7. How can I add a video of the horse?
Videos cannot be uploaded directly to the portal server. Upload the video to an external platform first (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Instagram, Facebook, etc.). Then, copy the video's public link (URL) into the corresponding field on the ad submission form. The system will display the video inside your ad.
8. Can I add pedigree links?
Yes, there are separate fields for entering pedigree (Sire, Dam, Damsire) when adding an ad. Additionally, direct links to external registries are supported. The system accepts all links – some have specific buttons (like Hippomundo or Horsetelex), but you can also add other general links.
9. What does "Price includes VAT" mean?
This option is intended for companies or VAT payers. Checking this box displays information to the buyer that the price includes VAT, which is important when selling to businesses.
Contact and Settings
10. How can buyers contact me?
Buyers can:
- Send you a message directly through the portal (arrives at your email).
- Call you, if you have added a phone number.
- Write on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, if you have activated these.
11. Why is a code asked at login (MFA)?
Two-factor authentication (MFA) helps protect your account. It is not enabled by default, but we recommend activating it under your profile settings for increased security. When active, you must enter a code sent to your email or phone app in addition to your password when logging in.
12. Why do I receive emails in the wrong language?
Automated system notifications are sent in the language you have set as your preference. If emails arrive in the wrong language, go to your profile settings and check the "Communication Language" option. There you can specify which language you want to receive notifications in.
13. How do I change my contact details (e.g., WhatsApp)?
You can change all contact details and preferences under profile settings. If the system detects that you have a phone number but WhatsApp is not activated, you might be offered the option to enable it conveniently when adding an ad.
