Your Guide to Successful Selling: The Product Adding Guide

Welcome to the EQITHRA family of sellers! We've created an environment for you where giving your used equipment a new life is simple and effective. This guide will help you create a product listing that not only looks great but also sells.

Before You Start: Your Membership Plan

To add products, you must have an active membership plan. Your chosen plan determines how many products you can have for sale at one time.

Our plans are "slot-based". What does this mean?

Think of it like shelf space—each product takes up one slot. When you sell a product, delete it from your store. This immediately frees up that slot, and you can add a new product in its place without needing to upgrade your plan.

Step 1: Lay the Foundation – Basic Information

Start from the "Products" menu and click "Add Product". You will see the 'Information' tab, where you'll set up your product's basic details.

  • Product Name (Required): Be clear and specific. A good name includes the brand, product type, and size. For example: "Pikeur Breeches, model Candela, size 38".
  • Descriptions: This is your chance to shine! While not required, a thorough description is the best way to earn a buyer's trust. Be honest and detailed—describe the product's condition and mention any signs of wear or defects.
  • Condition and Quantity (Required): Choose whether the product is 'New' or 'Used' and set the quantity (usually 1).
  • Category (Required): Choose the most accurate category for your product (e.g., 'For the Rider' > 'Breeches'). Important: Make sure the 'Homepage' category is unchecked.
  • Price (Required): Set a fair price for the product.

Step 2: The First Save to Add Images

Before you can upload images, the system needs to 'register' your product. To do this, you must save the data first.

Once you have entered the basic information, click the 'Save and stay' button at the bottom of the page. This will store the info and open up the option to add images.

Step 3: Pictures – Your Product's Calling Card

Pictures are the most important part of selling a used item. A good picture builds trust and helps the buyer make a decision.

Our Requirement: Square Format (1:1). Square images ensure that all products are displayed in a uniform and professional-looking row in the store.

How to get a square picture? Use our special cropping tool when uploading an image—it's fast and easy!

Tips for taking great product photos:

  • Clean product and good lighting: Clean the item and take photos in natural daylight.
  • Neutral background: Find a simple background (e.g., a wall, a floor) that doesn't distract from the product.
  • Show all angles: Take pictures from the front, back, and sides. Also, capture any potential defects.
  • Don't use stock photos: Buyers want to see the actual condition of the item.

Step 4: Final Save and Automatic Publishing

When the images have been added and you are happy with everything, click the 'Save' button again.

Your product will be published on the platform automatically and instantly! You do not have to wait for a review from our team.
