Pavo GastriCover – supports a healthy stomach and digestion

The horse’s digestive tract is complex, and the stomach is very sensitive. Sometimes extra stomach support is necessary. Pavo GastriCover promotes gastric mucosa regeneration and helps neutralize the effects of highly acidic stomach content.

Neutralization of stomach acid
Stomach acid is essential for digestion, but too much or highly acidic content can harm the stomach lining. The main ingredient Maerl (calcified seaweed) buffers stomach acid and has anti-inflammatory properties. Maerl works gradually and long-lasting, maintaining a healthy pH without impairing digestion.

Prebiotics and probiotics for digestive support
Apple pulp and dried beet pulp are high in pectins, forming a protective layer on the stomach lining and supporting growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Certified Biosprint® live yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) improves digestibility, especially of fibre, stabilizes gut microflora, and promotes better fermentation and nutrient utilization.

Feeding recommendation per day

Intensive support (3x daily)

• Pony (300 kg): 3x 60 g = 180 g/day

• Horse (600 kg): 3x 110 g = 330 g/day

General support (2x daily)

• Pony (300 kg): 2x 50 g = 100 g/day

• Horse (600 kg): 2x 100 g = 200 g/day

Instructions

• Intensive support: feed for at least 3 weeks

• General support: can be continuously added to daily feed

• During stress: feed as long as stress persists

• Mix with regular feed

• Tip: divide the daily concentrate into 2–3 portions and mix GastriCover in, ensuring a continuous supply of stomach-supporting ingredients
