Sweating and electrolytes are closely connected. When a horse sweats, it loses not only fluids but also essential body salts known as electrolytes. Replenishing these electrolytes in time is vital to prevent muscle cramps, fatigue, loss of energy, and reduced performance. In severe cases, electrolyte deficiency can even lead to dehydration.

Pavo E’lyte is a complete electrolyte supplement containing all key body salts – sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, and magnesium – in perfectly balanced proportions. These ratios are crucial for proper absorption and electrolyte balance. The formula also includes extra magnesium, a mineral lost through sweat that plays an important role in muscle function, recovery, and nerve health.

Feeding tip:
Horses often need time to get used to the taste of electrolytes. Start with a small amount and gradually increase it. Mix Pavo E’lyte into the daily feed, for example into mash or soaked muesli. For picky eaters, adding apple sauce or apple juice can help. It can also be administered using an empty dosing syringe, mixed with apple puree.

Recommended dosage:
Light work:

• Horse (approx. 600 kg): 100 g per day

• Pony (approx. 300 kg): 50 g per day

Heavy work or intense sweating:

• Horse (approx. 600 kg): 200 g per day

• Pony (approx. 300 kg): 100 g per day

Pavo E’lyte can be given before, during, and after exercise.
